Neotropic’s first release in 2 years sees her undertaking yet another change in direction. The wistful, melancholic Prestatyn (named after the North Wales town where Riz would take family holidays as a child) sees her predominantly working as a solo artist, yet the increasingly guitar-based, almost post-rock stylings on offer here are all the more encompassing. Influences / comparisons might include the likes of Mogwai, The Cure, Fennesz, releases on the Kranky and Constellation labels and classic Shoegazing.
